Is your cloud security like the wild west? Gemalto is a data protection company who was looking to revitalize their audience engagement around a new product offering for cloud security. They first approached me to design & develop a robust digital marketing campaign to increase lead conversion. The question was how could I make cloud-security more… “fun” and get their audience excited about privacy protection. Logistically, the campaign was to run in tandem with a call to action to download and install the product on AWS. As such, the goal was not only to promote Gemalto’s new product but also promote marketplace adoption on Amazon’s newly launched web services platform (AWS).

By delving into Gemalto’s website analytics, I strategically identified and targeted two distinct demographics, shaping the campaign’s voice to resonate with data center professionals in the Midwest. This approach, complemented by a captivating “wild west” theme, ensured the campaign’s relevance to the audience and maximized engagement. Through audience segmentation, we achieved a 59% increase in click-through rates, establishing the effectiveness of tailored campaigns.

Saddle-Up Your Send-List, This Drip Campaign Rides at Dawn

As a strategic incentive, Gemalto and AWS collaborated to offer a $100 customer credit through an email marketing campaign. This not only boosted sign-ups but also seamlessly integrated with the overall campaign, driving engagement and anticipation. The email campaign resulted in a remarkable 20% increase in user sign-ups, showcasing the persuasive power of targeted incentives.

Gemalto: There’s A New Sheriff in Cloud Security

Centered around the theme, “Is Your Cloud Security Like the Wild West?” the campaign positioned Gemalto as the new security sheriff. The well-executed design and marketing efforts culminated in a successful campaign delivered on time and under budget, generating over 1,500 high-quality leads. The campaign achieved a conversion rate of 15%, exceeding industry benchmarks and emphasizing the impact of creative branding on lead generation.

Conquering the Wild West of Cloud Computing

To reinforce Gemalto’s position in the AWS Marketplace, an impactful event booth was designed for their showcase at Amazon’s re:Invent technology conference. This visually compelling presence enhanced brand visibility and product adoption. The event booth garnered a footfall increase of 40%, emphasizing the role of captivating event signage in driving audience engagement.

Managing Gemalto’s digital marketing campaign, I implemented A/B testing with the “Wild West” theme, resulting in a remarkable 2.5% increase in conversion rates within a month.
